All burn permits must be obtained through the Hempfield Township Municipal building.
Failure to obtain a burn permit prior to burning could result in fines/penalties.

Organization
The members of the Hempfield Township Volunteer Fire Department are dedicated to the need for fire, rescue and medical protection, service and education, foremost for Hempfield and Sugar Grove Townships, but also for the surrounding communities when requested. We respond to emergency calls 24/7/365 regardless of weather, time or convenience.
Our goal is the protection of the people and property of our community as well as the safety of our personnel.
We provide fire and accident prevention education when requested.
The Hempfield Township Volunteer Fire Department provide appropriate and current training for members to protect themselves and those they are assisting in any situation that may become necessary. Active members are supplied with personal protective equipment and apparatus to respond and perform emergency services in a timely and professional manner.
The department seeks to manage resources and relationships so as to provide an ongoing and viable organization.
In fulfilling this mission, the Hempfield Volunteer Fire Department will be available to the public to provide to advance knowledge of safety and protection as well as the department's role in this community.
